Bereavement support for children in Berkshire
A guide to our group sessions, our space, and who you'll meet.
We offer regular group sessions for children and young people who have been bereaved or who have a family member with a serious illness. These groups provide a safe space for children to share their experiences and receive support from others who understand what they are going through.
If you've been invited to a group session at Daisy's Dream, you might be wondering what to expect. We know that trying something new can feel a little nerve-wracking, so we want to help you feel as comfortable as possible before your visit.
When you arrive, you'll see a small Daisy's Dream logo plaque near the front door; just ring the bell and someone will let you in.
Inside there's a small private room for quieter one-to-one sessions and a large main room with a sofa, bean bags, tables for creative activities and a small kitchen.
Groups are small, usually between 6 to 10 children, so there's time to talk, listen and support each other in a safe, friendly environment.
Sessions mix talking, activities and games, such as sharing memories, creative projects and interactive games, with no pressure to share.
